The Wayfarer
The Wayfarer. There is a particular kind of calm that comes from having everything in one place.
The Wayfarer holds your passport, cards, and folded notes in a single slim cover — the one thing you reach for at check-in, at the gate, at the border. It slips into a jacket pocket and stays there. Clean to open. Easy to use. Built to last the distance.
Made by hand in Born, Netherlands. Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather sourced from Tempesti SPA in Tuscany — one of Europe's most respected tanneries. Hand saddle-stitched, edge-finished by hand. Every detail is considered. Nothing is excess.
A passport holder is not a luxury. It is the object that keeps you composed when the queue is long and the gate is closing. The Wayfarer takes that role seriously.
Personalisation
Add your initials — or those of the person you are giving this to — embossed directly onto the interior. The Atelier de Rys mark is carried on the front.
To personalise, add your initials (up to 3 characters) in the notes at checkout. No additional cost.
Available in two colourways:
— Nero · All black. Composed and still.
— Marine · All navy. Deep and considered.

On full-grain vegetable-tanned leather
Full-grain leather carries the complete surface of the hide — its natural markings, its grain, its character. Vegetable tanning, the oldest and slowest method, means the leather develops a rich patina over time that synthetic leathers never can. It does not wear out. It wears in. The Wayfarer will look better after ten trips than it did before the first.
Gifting
The Wayfarer arrives in Atelier de Rys packaging, ready to give. A considered gift for the traveller who values things that work quietly and last — a partner, a parent, a colleague, yourself.
Please note: current photos show an earlier leather. New photos in Nero and Marine coming soon.
